More Than Ever, Women Are Out-Earning Their Laid-Off "House-Husbands"

There's still a gender gap when it comes to income between men and women, but it continues to shrink year over year, and the recent “mancession” (the hard fall in areas typically associated with male skills) has only shrunk the difference.

Thus it's not a surprise that a new report from Pew on the New Economics of Marriage (via Economix) shows that more and more, women are the top breadwinners at home.

In addition, the institution of marriage has changed significantly in the last few decades, beyond just changes in breadwinners. For example: fewer and fewer adults are getting married.
